The beautiful Salhouse Broad is the perfect place to walk and relax with a welcome drink or tasty snack. Make a date to enjoy the bluebell strewn wooded area whilst watching and listening to the wildlife. A play area for children and opportunity to enjoy the dark skies viewing platform (with special events as advertised by Salhouse Broad, add to the variety of activities available.

I have always enjoyed baking and when the chance came for me to change career in 2019, it was the perfect opportunity. My partner Chris was a ranger at the Broad and whilst visiting, I saw an opening for some refreshments at the site. Chris now also works with me at the Otter as well as baking(!) so that we can be open every day and provide a consistent service for our customers. We are committed to using high quality, locally sourced and environmentally friendly products and also to engage actively with the local community. We support Love the Broads which is a charity dedicated to funding projects around the Norfolk Broads and with our customers we have raised more than £3000 for the trust so far.
